Rosalia Ho-Ching Leung is an architect, community designer, and researcher. With a unique educational background in architecture from Hong Kong and France, she is dedicated to exploring the intricate relationships between the built environment, public engagement, and ecological coexistence.
Her design philosophy revolves around fostering an understanding of the interconnectedness between the built environment, public participation, and ecological sustainability. She believes that architecture has the power to positively impact individuals, communities, and the natural world. By instilling social responsibility, critical thinking, and design excellence, architects are able to address the complex challenges of our time.
Her work has garnered recognition at various awards and exhibitions, including the Taipei International Design Award, the Venice Biennale of Architecture, and the Hong Kong Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture. Rosalia has also contributed to academia as a lecturer at the University of Hong Kong and the HKU Space/Curtin University architecture program. Additionally, she served as a visiting professor at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Normandie in France, where she fostered her insights into ecological oriented design. Lately, she is teaching sustainable development at the Department of Geography, HKU Space.
