In Hong Kong, park facilities for senior citizens mainly include functional fitness equipment, ordinary park benches and tables. Often, users will only see the completed project without having the opportunity to share their opinions and ideas during the design process. In Fact, users’ feedback reveals strong desire for a fun yet purpose-built aesthetic environment. By infusing style and playfulness into the age-friendly concept, this set of interactive and inter-generational public furniture in Morse Park encourages senior citizens to spend time with their friends, families and grandchildren.
Two sessions of design workshops have been held to engage and collect end users feedback (our seniors) during the production process.
